WASHINGTON, DC – Measure, the nation’s leading drone operator, today established operations in Texas by opening an office in the historic Marine Building in the Strand Historic District on Galveston Island. Measure’s opening of a Houston area office is part of the technology company’s effort to build a nationwide operation.
“We are proud to have a base in Texas and find the Houston area especially welcoming for technology companies. Our new Texas office will allow Measure to offer best-in-class support along with real-time data analysis to energy and insurance companies said CEO Brandon Torres Declet.”
For the oil and gas industry, drones have already improved efficiency and increased worker safety. Pipeline operators can scan vast areas and spot problems more efficiently using drones. Drones can also be used to detect malfunctioning panels for solar energy users and identify outages for utilities after a big storm.
As noted in the Measure and the American Red Cross study on drones for disaster response, drones allow insurers to identify properties and infrastructure that have been flooded or are in the path of rising waters. Risk managers can utilize aerial data to better understand the factors leading to property damage and collect data in support of the claims and underwriting processes.
Measure’s Texas office is located at: 305 21st Street, Suite 228, Galveston, Texas 77550.
