Starting today, Measure Ground Control users now have integrated access to REIN’s DroneInsurance.com, a digital risk management platform that offers customizable insurance options for your commercial drone operations.
Why does it matter?
The commercial drone landscape has changed substantially in the past year. From newly proposed regulations, to increasing use cases across industries, and updates around UTM -- there’s so much to keep up with. Now more than ever, commercial drone teams are in dire need of turnkey hardware and software solutions that can effectively streamline their workflows.
Hundreds of drone teams use Ground Control to manage people & equipment, plan flights, collect, analyze and store data, and track commercial drone operations at scale. This collaboration with DroneInsurance.com is designed to add another layer of functionality to your operations -- a user-friendly, integrated risk management solution.
DroneInsurance.com’s tiered approach to coverage allows drone operators to protect against risks both on the ground and in the air. Starting with Base Coverage, operators can protect their ground operations. Then, to match the commercial drone industry’s dynamic and seasonal workflow, drone operators can add on-demand Flight Coverage for as little as a day, or as long as a year, and select the liability limit that best suits their business needs. Drone operators can also add coverage for sensors and ground equipment such as base stations.
How does it work?
Sign in to your Ground Control account. If you don’t have one yet, get started with our 30-day free trial. Under the main menu, you will see an Insurance tab.
From there, sign into your DroneInsurance.com account or create a new one.
After logging in or creating your free DroneInsurance.com account, you will be asked if you want to display your coverage information inside Ground Control.
If you said yes to the previous screen and have an active policy, you will now be able to quickly view your drone fleet’s coverage, as well as access DroneInsurance.com to manage your coverage - all without having to leave the Ground Control app.
As the commercial drone landscape continues to scale, Measure and DroneInsurance.com are working to ensure that your business has all the right tools for operational success.
